Guys. I found a really good Les Miserables fanfic.
It’s so good.
I can’t even deal with the world.
Okay first I’m proud that I found one THAT DOES NOT INVOLVE SLASH.
Like it’s an actual story.
While little one-shot ship fics can be cute, this actually has a plot and problems and its so amazing.
So this is the premise.
Jean Valjean saves more of the revolutionaries than just Marius. Now they have to deal with being hunted down by a still-alive but even more confused Javert, coping with tremendous loss and horrible nightmares, taking on responsibility of a child, and also a possibly fatal wound to the very embodiment of their hope.
Oh my god guys. I can’t deal with this. I don’t think any fan fiction has ever made me cry before. And this one has. It’s just so well written and good and wow. Just please go read it.

Fanfiction for Les Misérables is not a thing I would have anticipated existing…but now I am slightly intrigued?
I’ve found that they’re mostly all sortable into two groups.
1. stories that provide more detail to the story and get deeper into characters
2. alternate versions of the story, usually in which everyone isn’t dead
Hmm! I guess that makes sense from the fanfiction perspective. Sounds like this one was of the former category?
Well, it’s a bit of both, in that not everyone dies at the barricade, so that’s nice.
I dislike this post a little bit in my heart only because I wanted to post it first.
