So I’m a glutton for emotional punishment.
I bought folded laundry until i got my mum to buy the Les Miserables Soundtrack, so now I have two versions of Les Mis to have feels to.
One of the girls I went to see it with, hell I’ll just call her Les because she is the only other les mis genius I know, and I listened to it on the bus home today and started having really intense feels and the people around us just kinda stared at us and it was awesome.
Oh, and dawn and I wore red and black today, for the rebellion. We are ever faithful to the cause (well mostly enjie. we are grantaire.). It was cool.
Back to the soundtrack.
Okay I think the song Suddenly might be one of my new favorites. I’m pretty sure it was new for the movie because Les and I sure as hell haven’t heard it before and we’ve had our share of staged performances.
So it’s just this really beautiful song Jean Valjean sings to young Cosette, asleep on his knee, as they ride in a carriage through the night. It is just one of the most beautiful things I have ever heard.
And oh god what hugh jackman lacks in singing ability (which isn’t much he still sings really excellently considering he isn’t a singer) he makes up for in emotion.
augh just look at these lyrics
“how was i to know that happiness
can come so fast
trusting me the way you do
i’m so afraid of failing you…”
ohgahd. I can’t even begin to explain how beautiful and important this song is. here’s a video about it
and if you want now the full feels, check out just the song.
this song is completely beautiful. I don’t even care if you like the movie or hate it or haven’t seen it or haven’t heard of it or don’t even care just PLEASE listen to this.
please.
it’s making me cry.
goodnight
