I don’t know where girls get the idea that it is ideal to have the smallest clothes possible. I just don’t get it. What is so desirable about skeletons or short people? (okay, that was not at all meant to be a blow at the shorter people. You are wonderful people. the previous comment is more to the effect of “why do people want to be in size zero jeans? Yes, it means you are skinny but also the height that is proportionate to that weight. Small…)
I don’t even know what dress size I am (because I don’t wear dresses), but I’m sure it’s above what is considered “thin.”
Oh great. great.
Now I bet you guys all think I’m compensating for being large and being all proud of it… I’M NOT BIG by any stretch of the imagination. Well, I mean, I’m tallish, and proportionate. I have never been called fat (except for by my older brother. and anyone who has an older bro or two knows that petty insults have no basis in fact and are therefore totally ignorable). I have been called.. uh.. I don’t really recall much. I wipe compliments from my memory. Unless they were funny.
…
what was I?…
Yea. Okay. I AM A PERFECTLY NORMAL TEENAGE GIRL. I’m 80th percentile of height among other teenage girls and am 60th for weight. to be perfectly proportional, those numbers would match up, so if you want to look at it from a scientific standpoint, yes, I am moderately normalishy slight.
Now that I have gained your trust in believing that I am totally average person size, I will rant about petty other girls and their obsession with trying to be… A size 3? Yea, I think 3 was the ideal size as far as pants/bottom half of body clothing.
Okay. I’m a size 7.
There is nothing wrong with that. I don’t see why some girls who are also 7s or maybe even 8s get ll sad because they think they’re fat. People just assume that if they have a larger size than someone, that they are fat.
Of the three factors that determine pant size, I’m pretty sure that weight is the least important. It’s all about leg length (basically height) and hip size. Having a size 9 does not make you fat. It could make you tall and dead sexy with amazing curves. But I think it’s mostly leg length.
Take me and golden (golden, i hope I have thine consent on this). If we are both sitting on a bench, we’re pretty much the same height. She might even be a little taller than I. Now stand us side by side and I sorta tower over her (okay, I’m maybe like four inches taller than her at most). We’re both totally normal, healthy, proportionate girls, yet I’m a 7 and she’s a 0. A zero! Or she might have moved to a 1 by now. But still! If you saw her and knew her size and were told to predict me based on my size, you’d think I was huge!
But I’m not!
So basically, do not associate sizes with weight. If anything, it’s just height. So… yea.

Why are you such a good person. I mean — don’t stop being a good person obviously. But thank you. Ok. Bye.
Hi. Id also like to add my 2 cents ^^
I’d just like to say that not every1 will fit the exact molds that are known as clothe sizes.. Like I’m not a skeleton (just hit 100 lbs) but I still can’t fit into size 2 pants. Thts just cus I’m very awkwardly porporionate. Not every1 can be the same guise so calm down.
Thanku
Funny thing is I’m a size 0 but people with sizes larger than mine look thinner than me (and tell me I’m fat but wait no thats only my mom) because I’m 5 feet tall.
I wish I understood how the heck clothing industries deal with size…
